What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy helping students build confidence in subjects they may initially find difficult. For me, tutoring is rewarding because I can break down complex ideas into simpler steps and see the moment when a student finally understands a concept. I also enjoy adapting my teaching style to suit each student, whether they need more structure, encouragement, exam preparation or help developing better study habits for them.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths as a tutor are patience, clear communication and ability to explain concepts in practical and simpler terms. I am a Medical Science graduate and currently working in NSW Health where I communicate clearly with people from different backgrounds and adjust my explanation depending on their level of understanding. I am also organised and reliable, which helps me prepare lessons properly, track student progress and create a supportive learning environment tailored to each student's needs. I believe I can make students feel comfortable asking questions without feeling judged.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important things a tutor can do are to build the student's confidence, identify their individual learning gaps and teach them strategies they can use independently. A tutor should not just give answers but help students understand the process behind the answer.
It is also important to create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel safe to make mistakes and ask questions. An excellent tutor must help students improve academically while also developing better study skills, problem-solving ability and motivation.
