About Glenn

Academic Background

I hold a Bachelor of Science from Monash University, along with Honours and a Ph.D. in Chemistry and Materials Science from Swinburne University. My academic experience has provided me with a strong foundation in chemistry, mathematics, scientific research, and problem-solving, allowing me to confidently support students across a range of STEM subjects from secondary school through to university level.

Teaching Philosophy

I believe that effective tutoring is about building understanding and confidence, not just finding the right answer. My approach focuses on breaking complex concepts into clear, manageable steps and adapting explanations to suit each student's learning style. I encourage students to ask questions, develop critical thinking skills, and gain the confidence needed to tackle new challenges independently.

Professional Experience

In addition to my research background, I have extensive experience in technical and professional environments where analytical thinking, communication, and continuous learning are essential. This enables me to connect academic concepts to real-world applications and provide practical examples that help students understand why what they are learning matters. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students can achieve their academic goals and develop skills that will benefit them long after their studies.
