What I enjoy most about tutoring is helping students build their confidence. I remember finding IB overwhelming at first, and I wish someone had told me early on that it gets easier with practice and time. I believe the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to guide rather than just give answers. When a tutor simply provides solutions, students don't retain the material. But when you walk them through the thinking process by asking the right questions and nudging them in the right direction, they arrive at the answer themselves. With the help of this process, they not only retain the concept far better, but they also gain confidence that they can do it again on their own.
