What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
When the student does what I call an OH moment. It shows that they have finally understood the material. Their reaction to the light bulb moments are always embedded into my memory. I always aim to get 1 OH moment each lesson.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My passion for my subject. From a very young age, I had always loved solving math problems. As a tutor, it brings me joy to share that passion with my students, especially if math is not their favourite subject. I try to get them to enjoy the lessons with me for them to establish a good connection with the subject: hopefully winning them over to see that math is fun.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Personalisation. In a classroom, the teacher's attention is divided and the material needs to be taught in ways that the majority understands. However, each student understands and learns differently so having it taylored to the individual (figuring out what they know, what they don't know and what they misunderstood) builds the foundation of their journey.
