What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is the opportunity to become fully involved in facilitating their learning and improving not only students' knowledge about a particular subject but also develop their study skills to improve their personal capabilities as a student so that they can continue to excel and achieve their goals.
I enjoy the fact that tutors are able to tailor their approach based on the student and this I find a very fulfilling aspect of tutoring that you would not find elsewhere because tutoring enables you to build that type of relationship with students.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Organisation and adaptability are my two biggest strengths as a tutor. Having taught primary school and high school students previously, I have experience in having to organise my teaching plans and deciding what content to cover in class. The nature of the job meant that I had to be efficient and organised in my approach so that students can maximise their learning and optimise the use of their time.
I am also quite adaptable with my approach as I can tailor my teaching style to the needs of students and their learning styles, which I have extensive experience in as well.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a student can do is not the content they teach but the transferable skills and fundamental knowledge a student requires to succeed on their own. I believe that a significant portion of students do not do well because they lack the fundamentals or do not have the right study techniques to learn at their best. As a tutor, it is our job to teach them these skills by incorporating them into the lesson together with the actual content.
