What do I enjoy most about tutoring? š
What I enjoy most about tutoring is helping students overcome challenges and gain a deeper understanding of mathematics. It is very rewarding to see a student move from feeling confused about a concept to being able to confidently apply a theorem or solve problems independently. I particularly enjoy explaining the reasoning behind mathematical ideas and helping students develop effective problem-solving strategies.
I also enjoy building positive relationships with students. I believe the best learning happens when there is mutual respect and open communication.
My Strengths as Tutor šŖ
I am good at organizing and summarizing information. I like to break problems down into different types and explain step-by-step methods for solving them.I enjoy explaining the reasoning and derivations behind concepts so that students can develop a deeper understanding. I'm patient, encourage questions and have multiple tutoring experience in English, Math and Chinese.
Most important things I can do for a student š
I believe one of the most important things a tutor can do is identify exactly where a student is struggling and provide targeted support. Unlike a large classroom setting, tutoring offers the opportunity to focus on an individual student's specific confusions. By filling in missing pieces of knowledge and helping students see how different concepts fit together, a tutor can help them develop a systemic understanding of math.
