What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy helping students move from confusion to confidence. A lot of the time, students struggle not because they are incapable, but because the concept has not been explained in a way that makes sense to them. I like breaking ideas into clear steps and helping students understand the reasoning behind an answer, not just the final result.
I especially enjoy this in General Mathematics and English Litreature, where improving the student’s approach can make a big difference.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths are clear communication, patience, and structured explanations. I am confident in General Mathematics and English, and I am also strong in English Literature, particularly essay structure, quote analysis, and helping students develop clearer written responses.
I am currently based in Sydney, completing my undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Mathematics at UNSW. My studies have helped me develop a logical and disciplined approach to learning, which I can bring into tutoring.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do is help students become more independent learners. A tutor should explain concepts clearly, model the process, and then support the student as they try it themselves.
I also think a tutor should create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. Many students fall behind because they are unsure about the basics but are too embarrassed to ask. A good tutor should be patient, encouraging, and focused on building both understanding and confidence over time.
