What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

That moment where you can see a concept really click for a student. I find it so rewarding when I am able to explain something such that the student understands it, particularly when it's a concept they've been struggling with for awhile.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I've had lots of informal and formal mentoring experience. From peer mentoring at university to leadership experience in music ensembles throughout high school, I've had lots of experience mentoring younger students. Within music, I have hosted small tutorials for my peers and led chamber music groups, as well as leading instrumental sections in large ensembles. I understand what helps students feel comfortable in these settings, what helps them to learn, what helps them to take on feedback given to them.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

As a tutor, I am there to support the individual student in a non-judgemental way. Encouraging your child to be themselves throughout their learning journey and shaping lesson plans to support their individual needs or learning styles are my priorities. This ensures your child feels comfortable and eager to learn in their tutoring sessions with me.

About Adele

Why Adele?

Adele has studied music her entire life, performing to a high level and completing a semester of the Bachelor of Music before transferring to the Bachelor of Commerce. Countless hours of private flute lessons, tutorials, and ensemble rehearsals have made her familiar with which teaching styles actually work. She understands the importance of encouraging & supporting your child to ask questions or get things wrong, as like private music lessons, tutoring sessions can be a vulnerable environment for students. Adele's philosophy is that ensuring that the student feels comfortable to be themselves is the best way to help their grades, understanding, and satisfaction from mathematics to improve.

Adele's Educational Background

Adele attended Genazzano FCJ College from year 5 to year 12, achieving an ATAR of 96.25. She now studies a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance & Economics) at the University of Melbourne. She is continuing her passion for mathematics through undertaking two elective subjects in mathematics, achieving a score of 93 for Calculus 1. Her grades and enjoyment in mathematics skyrocketed when she learnt to ask for help and deepen her understanding of the subject. As a result, she would love to help your child to do the same through her tutoring sessions.
