What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing a student become more confident over time. It's rewarding to watch someone go from finding a topic difficult to understanding it and solving problems independently. I also enjoy getting to know each student's learning style and finding different ways to explain concepts until they make sense.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe my biggest strengths are patience, communication, and adaptability. I take the time to understand how each student learns best and adjust my teaching style accordingly rather than using the same approach for everyone. About Elena Gabriella
My background
Hi! I'm Gabriella, an incoming University of Sydney student studying a double degree in Commerce (Finance) and Science (Statistics). I achieved predicted 4A* grades in my A-Levels, was the valedictorian of my cohort, and received three academic scholarships. I enjoy making difficult concepts easier to understand and helping students build confidence alongside strong academic results.
My teaching style
I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit each individual. Rather than just memorising answers, I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind concepts, develop problem-solving skills, and build study habits they can use independently.
Beyond the classroom
Outside of academics, I enjoy drumming, oil painting, badminton, and photography. I also have experience mentoring younger students and leading school initiatives, including founding my school's first Science Fair and serving as Student Council President. These experiences have strengthened my communication, patience, and ability to create a supportive learning environment.
