What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing a student have that moment when something finally clicks. It's really rewarding to help someone move from feeling stuck or frustrated to feeling confident in what they're learning. I also enjoy getting to know each student's learning style and finding different ways to explain things that make sense to them.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think my biggest strengths are being patient, approachable, and a good communicator. I understand that everyone learns at their own pace, so I try to create a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions. I'm also good at breaking down difficult concepts into smaller, more manageable steps, which helps make learning less overwhelming.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe a tutor should be like a friend who explains things without judgment and is patient when a student is struggling. Sometimes students just need someone who will listen, encourage them, and explain a concept as many times as necessary until it makes sense. A good tutor helps students feel supported, builds their confidence, and teaches them how to think through problems on their own rather than simply giving them the answers.

About Samradni Vishwanath

Strong Academic Background with a Passion for Learning

I am currently pursuing a Master of Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) at Flinders University after completing my Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering with a GPA of 9.16/10. Throughout my academic journey, I have consistently performed at a high level and have always enjoyed learning new concepts, solving challenging problems, and helping others do the same. My passion for learning naturally led me to teaching. Over the years, I have helped friends, classmates, juniors, siblings, and students from my local community understand difficult concepts and build confidence in their abilities. Whether I am explaining a mathematical problem, a science concept, or a programming topic, I enjoy finding simple and practical ways to make learning engaging and accessible. I can teach Mathematics, English, Science, and introductory Computer Science and Programming. My goal is not only to help students improve their academic performance but also to develop a genuine understanding of the subject so they feel confident tackling new challenges independently.

Patient, Personalised and Supportive Teaching

I believe every student has the ability to succeed when they are taught in a way that suits their individual learning style. For this reason, I tailor each lesson to the student's strengths, areas for improvement, and personal goals instead of following a one-size-fits-all approach. Students often find me patient, calm, approachable, and easy to talk to. I encourage questions and never mind explaining a concept in multiple ways until it makes sense. Rather than asking students to memorise answers, I focus on helping them understand the reasoning behind each concept so they can apply their knowledge confidently in new situations. I have experience teaching students ranging from primary school children to engineering students through mentoring classmates, assisting juniors, volunteering, and tutoring children in my neighbourhood in India. These experiences have strengthened my ability to communicate with learners of different ages and abilities while creating a positive, encouraging, and engaging learning environment.

Helping Students Build Confidence Beyond the Classroom

While good grades are important, I believe tutoring should also help students become more confident and independent learners. My goal is to help students understand *why* something works, rather than simply memorising answers. When students understand the thinking behind a concept, they're much more likely to remember it and apply it with confidence. Outside of my studies, I enjoy coding, solving puzzles, participating in hackathons, volunteering, and taking on leadership opportunities. These experiences have strengthened my problem-solving and communication skills, which I bring into every tutoring session. I also speak English, Hindi, and Marathi, which helps me connect with students and families from different backgrounds. Above all, I want every student I work with to feel supported, motivated, and proud of the progress they make. Watching someone grow in confidence is the most rewarding part of being a tutor.
