What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The part of tutoring that I like best is getting to help students gain confidence in themselves. It feels great when a student who originally feels lost or frustrated begins to grasp the subject and realize that he or she can actually learn it. It is also nice to establish a good rapport with my students where they do not feel afraid to ask me anything.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
One of my major qualities as a tutor is the mastery of materials that I teach. Being in the top 10 percent as a student in one of the most difficult high schools (400++ students) in Jakarta and currently a High Distinction at university level, I am well prepared to teach primary school to junior high school Math, English, Science, and Computing. In addition, being the Vice President and tutor of TOS (a high school program for teaching underprivileged students weekly), I have been teaching children between the ages of 3-14 years old, even those with physical and mental needs.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
In my opinion, the most important role played by any tutor is making the student realize that he or she can change and improve. In addition to explaining the content to a student, a tutor must help him or her acquire self confidence, independence, as well as adopt an optimistic attitude to studying. It is also crucial for a tutor to pay attention, understand a student's difficulties, and give support depending on their characteristic.
