What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy being able to help students achieve what they previously believed they couldn't, pushing them beyond what they thought they could accomplish.
Furthermore, I enjoy the content I teach, pushing myself to take the harder variant of first year classes solely to deepen my understanding of math and physics.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Having completed both year 11 and 12 without a tutor, a large portion of my time in high school was spent learning the content by myself. As such, teaching the content to myself has given a deeper grasp on the content, having acquired an intuitive understanding that can be passed onto my potential students. Furthermore, 3 consecutive years of excelling in debate has resulted in very clear communication skills, being able to reframe complex ideas in easily digestible ways.

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is meet them where they're at without judgement. As someone who has been helped by a tutor after falling behind during the pandemic, being able to increase or decrease the speed at which you finish content, and the ability to change teaching styles without feeling exasperated is the key to forming better, open student-tutor relationships.
