She has a really good understanding of worded chance questions and does understand what they are asking majority. Poems language devices are good and understood the stories a bit.

Not necessarily needs improvement but tested her thinking about artist moods and reasons to why they did certain things in the poem which tested her thinking i don’t believe she understood as well though. Percentages got a bit confusing but first time relating so will just need a bit more continuing. Also went through words such as 2 OR 3 or greater than or equal to to show some variation.

She has a strong understanding of probability and i believe finds it interesting. Had some fun conversation and just getting to know more about the term and what is exciting at school. She writes really well and enjoys readings that are given weekly which she has been tracking quite well at completing.

got a bit stuck when combining harder worded chance questions with fractions but otherwise understood after explanation, will continue further as new topic. English is going well i believe the structure of tutoring for english will be changed for next week to accustom more towards what she is learning

The questions choice made zoe think critically to answer them and was doing quite well. The maths game was set as a goal outside of lessons to complete 10-20mins or reaching a score of 20 sometime during the week which will assist with her multiplication ability as well as maintain her attention span on the content where she has issues sometimes.

She had some struggles and got overwhelmed on simplifying difficult fractions which i intervened and went through together to show her how the question may look difficult however simple changes can make the question look much easier to accomplish which will continue into next lesson additional to new poetry content.

She remembered alot of the tips we have gone through and did quite decent with the quiz in her working out. Got her to write her own poem and successfully wrote 5-6 lines using some language devices.

some minor errors through her 8x tables, and didnt understand 'improper' fractions however we did go through an explanation and will revisit at the start of next lesson, struggled with identifying some language devices and using such as metaphors, but will go through more examples along with rhyming schemes to utilise in different poem styles. Recommended doing some times table games to work on her speed and understanding of times tables further, which i will check and work with her next session to progress.
