What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Tutoring helps me convey what I have already learned about one subject to other students, and at times it is very joyful to watch people light up once they start to grasp a problem they have been struggling with or discover a new, interesting concept. These moments are what made tutoring, in particular, enjoyable to me because I really like explaining a topic I'm well-versed in.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Probably one of my greatest strengths as a tutor is that I break down concepts into really small, easy pieces and use metaphors or familiar examples to convey it to people. The people whom I have already tutored informally all said that I have a really engaging way to explain complex concepts, particularly those related to biology. Furthermore, I am very well-versed in creating mindmaps and organising concepts in a sort of "cheat sheet" format, which both serves as a way of consolidating information alongside subject notes that could do wonders for exam revision.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

From my own experience, the most improtant thing for a tutor to consider for a student is to consider each one's learning style, as well as individual strengths and weaknesses. This helps the tutor to grasp what they might be struggling with or already well-versed in, what methods may be suitable, and what area needs to be focused in during tutor sessions. This information can be the crucial difference that drastically improves a student's performance during exams in my opinion.
