What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is helping someone understand a concept they were genuinely stuck on. During my time as a Subject Matter Expert with Chegg, working on Economics and Finance problems, I found real satisfaction in breaking down complex ideas into simple, clear steps students could actually follow. Seeing a student go from confused to confident, and knowing I played a part in that, is what kept me motivated — it's also what earned me a 95%+ satisfaction rating and Top Performer of the Year in 2023. I enjoy the problem-solving side of it too, but it's that moment of a concept fina
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I'd say my biggest strengths are breaking down complex problems into simple, clear steps, and being patient with students until a concept actually clicks. In Economics and Finance, a lot of students get stuck not because the topic is impossible, but because it's explained in a confusing way — so I focus on clarity first. Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think a good tutor makes sure the student actually understands the topic, not just gets the right answer. Explaining the "why" behind each step matters, so they can apply it later on their own.
Being patient and simple in explanations helps too — nobody learns well if they feel rushed or judged for not getting it straight away. And just being reliable, giving the same effort to every question, is something I always tried to do.
