Having previously volunteered with Migrant and Refugee Settlement Services as a tutor, I have experience tutoring those with a non-English speaking background, or those who are struggling to settle in at school after moving to a new country. I consider myself a compassionate and patient tutor who likes to form a personal rapport with students. I believe everyone with the right motivation and support can do well and enjoy school, and I want to encourage students to push themselves and achieve what they think they can't.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Many tutors can simply explain content and answer questions, but I believe a great tutor inspires a passion for the field of study in the student. While supporting students to achieve their best grades is important to me, the best feeling as a tutor is seeing students who previously struggled and didn't enjoy a subject find things about it that they find interesting, and start to take initiative in learning themselves.
