What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing my students achieve their goals. It makes me happy to see them happy and know that I have played a part in their success. I enjoy working with children and helping them realise that maths doesn't have to be a difficult or intimidating subject. I believe that sometimes it's the way maths is taught that makes students dislike it, and I enjoy finding different ways to explain concepts so that students can understand them, build confidence, and develop a more positive attitude towards learning.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Besides my engineering and maths background, I believe one of my biggest strengths is my ability to connect easily with children. I consider myself approachable, friendly, and patient, which helps students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing difficulties they may have. I am also confident in my ability to develop personalised learning plans that suit each student's individual needs, learning style, and level of understanding. I believe that building a good relationship with students and adapting my approach are essential to helping them feel confident and succeed in maths.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe one of the most important things a tutor can do is make sure the student feels seen, heard, and understood. Creating a comfortable and welcoming environment is essential because students are more likely to ask questions when they feel safe and supported. If a student feels uncomfortable or is afraid of getting an answer wrong, they may hesitate to ask questions, which can affect their learning. I believe building trust, being approachable, and encouraging students to speak up are key to helping them understand concepts, build confidence, and succeed.
