What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy helping students understand something they initially find difficult and seeing their confidence grow as they start to understand it. I especially enjoy being able to explain concepts in a simple way and finding different approaches depending on how a student learns best. It’s rewarding when a student goes from feeling unsure about a topic to feeling confident enough to work through it independently.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think my main strengths are patience, communication and adaptability. I try to create a comfortable environment where students feel okay asking questions, even if they think the question is “simple†or they don’t understand something the first time. I also try to explain concepts in different ways rather than just repeating the same explanation, and I pay attention to where a student is struggling so I can adjust my approach.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think the most important thing is to make the student feel supported while helping them become more independent. A tutor should listen to the student, understand what they are struggling with, explain things clearly, and encourage them to work through problems themselves rather than simply giving them the answer. Building the student’s confidence is also important because when students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions, they are more willing to learn.
