What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

For me, the most enjoyable part of tutoring is watching my students understand the content I'm teaching, especially the moment when it finally 'clicks' for them. I feel a sense of accomplishment when I see them grow and solve problems with ease that were initially difficult for them.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

In the first lesson, I'm able to connect well with students and get them to open up about themselves, creating a relaxed atmosphere. I also present an enthusiastic demeanour with my students and show I'm easy-going. I'm very well versed in the subjects I teach, so I can help students understand complicated concepts in a simple manner. Furthermore, I'm very committed to my student's wellbeing and learning. Before each lesson, I always check in with how their day and school is going. After every lesson, I assign homework tailored to their needs and ensure I prioritise our classes.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

Lesson consistency is key. This can maintain the momentum the student has so they can cover content at an adequate pace. Also, it can encourage the student to put effort into the lesson as the tutor demonstrates they're doing the same from their own end. It is also vital tutors connect with their students beyond academics. Tutors should be able to distinguish themselves from their students' teachers at school, by forming a more personal bond with them. This can manifest as knowing each other’s interests and hobbies, so they are comfortable with each other.
