What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The opportunity to share the knowledge and study techniques I have learnt to help benefit other students. I typically find that when a concept is explained to someone by a person who has recently undertaken the same studies you are currently doing, it is often easier to get the point across, as just like the student, the tutor has also been in their position and can understand the student's confusion or worries, and so knows how to work around them. I therefore find that tutoring someone is an effective and valuable way of helping students show true improvement in their studies.

Clear communication of complex topics (such as in higher level Biology or Mathematics), as well as my high conceptual understanding of the subjects I would be teaching (as I have only recently undertaken them, and have achieved high marks)

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Providing support and giving the student study techniques as opposed to only teaching the content. Helping a student structure their studying around the areas they struggle with enables the tutor to give personalised help that a teacher cannot always provide. Moreover, a tutor often has recent experience with the subject they are teaching, allowing them to share tips and tricks that helped them understand concepts or memorise terms and formulas.
