What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most about tutoring is helping students understand concepts they find challenging and seeing their confidence grow as they improve. I find it rewarding to explain things in different ways until a student understands and to be part of their learning journey. I also enjoy sharing my knowledge and understanding of concepts, and making learning a positive and encouraging experience for every student.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think one of my main strengths as a tutor is that I don't believe any student is inherently weak at a subject. Sometimes, they just haven't found the right way to understand a particular concept. I believe that with the right explanation, approach, and patience, students can understand even topics they initially find difficult. I would make it my priority to ensure that my explanations genuinely get across to the student, rather than simply covering the material. I also want my students to feel comfortable telling me when they don't understand something, without feeling embarrassed.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think the most important thing a tutor can do is make sure a student genuinely understands what they are learning, rather than just memorising information or getting the right answers. A tutor should be patient, adapt to different learning styles, and create a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions. Most importantly, they should help students build confidence in their abilities and become independent learners.

About Areesha

A Little About Me

I'm a computer science and engineering graduate who enjoys problem-solving, mathematics, and learning how things work. I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simpler steps and finding different ways to approach a problem.

My Approach to Learning

I believe that understanding why something works is just as important as getting the right answer. I aim to explain concepts clearly, encourage questions, and help students develop their own problem-solving skills rather than simply memorising formulas or solutions.

What Students Can Expect

I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes without feeling discouraged. I believe that everyone learns at a different pace, and I'm happy to work through concepts patiently, celebrate small improvements, and help students build confidence in their abilities over time.
