What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
it's that moment when a student finally clicks with a concept they've been struggling with. I really like taking something that looks intimidating, like a tough math problem or a coding concept, and breaking it down into smaller, easy-to-manage pieces. Seeing them go from being stuck to feeling confident is super rewarding
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think my main strengths are patience and clarity. Because of my engineering background, I'm used to dealing with complex logic, but I also know how frustrating it is when things don't make sense right away. Having taught coding and volunteered with kids, I'm really comfortable meeting students at their level, staying patient, and explaining things in a way that actually makes sense to them. I'm also the oldest of 4 siblings so younger kids do not intimidate me
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The biggest thing is helping them build problem-solving skills so they don't rely on you forever. It's not just about getting the right answer on a worksheet; it's about teaching them how to think through a problem when they're stuck on their own. If you can make a student feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions without feeling judged, they build the confidence to figure things out independently
