What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I really enjoy the moment when a student understands a concept or topic that they have been struggling with for a while. It feels like such a 'lightbulb' moment and it is incredibly rewarding to see their confidence grow after that moment. I have also really enjoyed being able to tutor students who previously had been predicted to fail their exams and with my help they passed. Getting that phone call on results day to hear the good news made me very proud of the hard work we had put in together!
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am reliable and committed to students, in my 8 years of tutoring experience, I have always stayed with my students until they finished their exams, even with busy periods. I have a friendly and encouraging attitude. I am patient with my students and can adapt my explanations as not everyone learns things in the same way and I have found it is good to use several methods to help students understand concepts (especially in math). I have strong communication skills with both students and parents (providing clear updates on progress after sessions). Finally, I bring a strong academic background.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Giving the student confidence in their own academic potential. I think with that, the student gains the ability to try even difficult concepts or questions and often surprises themselves with being able to pick up or answer things they didn't previously believe that they could.
