What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

For me, the best part of tutoring is turning “I can’t do this†into “I understand it now.†Teaching Mathematics and Economics to students with diverse learning needs, including ADHD and exam anxiety, has taught me to adapt explanations to individual needs and build confidence alongside subject knowledge. As a Statistics mentor, I also supported 10 junior students through targeted sessions, helping six move up a grade band. Seeing students become more confident and independent learners is what makes tutoring meaningful to me.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My biggest strength is adapting to how each student learns rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. I break complex concepts into manageable steps, use relatable examples, and create a space where students feel comfortable asking questions. Working with students with ADHD and exam anxiety has also taught me patience and the importance of building confidence alongside academic skills. I focus not just on helping students find the right answer, but on ensuring they understand the reasoning behind it and can apply it independently.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think the most important thing a tutor can do is help a student believe that they can learn, even when they find something difficult. From teaching students with different learning needs and levels of confidence, I have learned that patience, encouragement, and finding the right way to explain something can make a real difference. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes without feeling judged. Ultimately, I hope to help them not only understand their subjects better but also become more confident and independent in their learning.
