What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Being able to have a hand in and help shape a student's future is what makes tutoring a great experience. Knowing that I've been a positive influence and watching how students develop as a result of my actions makes all the effort more than worth it. Tutoring is not only beneficial for the students but also for myself as the mentor. Growing and learning together as tutor and student is a special experience and bond that I'd definitely cherish and enjoy.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have maintained an efficient work ethic throughout previous work and schooling and as such, I am flexible and can manage my time effectively. Most importantly, the leadership roles that I have taken required that I be adaptive and an active listener, all skills which I believe will make me suitable to become a tutor. Amongst all these skills that can be developed, I possess certain traits and a great personality for a tutor. I am reliable and honest in all aspects of my life including work and social life. I am extremely patient and understanding and most importantly, empathetic.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe that teachers/tutors make the greatest impact on a developing child or young adult's mind. Apart from the child's family, a teacher/tutor has the most influential face to face contact with a student, where it be as a mentor or as a friend. Hence, I strongly feel that tutors have the opportunity and responsibility to educate and develop a young person's way of thinking, behaviour and most importantly, their learning. Even in a constantly changing and technologically advancing society, the relationship between a teacher and a student can never be replaced.
