What do I enjoy most about tutoring?
I feel there is a great satisfaction in not just giving children the right answers, but in also giving them the tools to think independently and creatively. As a tutor, you can focus on students and build off strengths and eliminate weaknesses, and it's a pleasure watching students transform into smarter, better people.
My Strengths as Tutor
Being able to build off strengths through constructive development, and changing a student's perception of the possibility of their own abilities. By doing so we create students who are more motivated and willing to learn and work on weaknesses, and not just students who linger in strengths.
Most important things I can do for a student
To act as a mentor and help students break free of preconceived notions of their own abilities, making them more comfortable to work on weaknesses and improve. To act as a role model in applying effort and rewarding effort to help students to grow as people as well as students.
