What do I enjoy most about tutoring?
I like to share knowledge with others and watch them use it to succeed.
I used to have terrible tutors when I was growing up - I strive to ensure no one has to experience that! I love to see my students enjoy what they're doing. It's very rewarding to see results from the hard work put into them.
My Strengths as Tutor
Patience and experience. Every student has their own way of learning/absorbing information. I find it's most successful when help is tailored to the learning abilities of the student, so they enjoy it, understand it, then excel in it.
I love to teach - I am a horse riding instructor, piano teacher, assistant scuba instructor. Of course I'll help with the academic subjects, too!
Most important things I can do for a student
Patience, kindness and support. No one wants to endure an impatient/fierce/unreasonable tutor after a long day at school! I will teach independence and discipline.
Besides tailoring my teaching methods to maximize their learning, I hope to build a bond with my student so they start to enjoy their sessions with me. I want to earn their trust, and help them through troubles in their subjects.
