What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy creating a relationship with the student in which they feel comfortable enough to ask questions.
Working with kids also gives a sense of achievement; however cheesy it may sound, the student I tutor has endless metaphorical doors that could open for them in the future and to know that perhaps I influenced that future is fulfilling.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
If I explain something and the student doesn't understand, I'll find another way to communicate my point. I see the problem from their perspective and find a way for them to grasp the concept.
I've been the student who cowers with fear for the person who was teaching me and because of that, learning wasn't effective with them. I want to provide a no-pressure environment where the student can feel okay with making mistakes.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A tutor has to want the student to succeed in what they're learning. It's important to know specifically where the student is struggling in order to help them. It would be remiss not to mention that there is a positive impact on the students' performance in school as well.
