What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The fact that I can greatly improve students understanding of a particular subject which ultimately ensures them greater success in the subject in the future. This is most rewarding.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe I have sincere interpersonal skills, being measured, reflect on my learning and have the ability to make decisions to help students develop their understanding of a subject.
My enthusiasm regarding Mathematics is also a significant strength, as it allows me to be engaging. This ensures students have the best chance of understanding and retaining what they have learnt.
Lastly, particularly for maths, a strength of mine is ensuring students understand the process rather than the outcome. This results in the highest retention rate and success.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Develop their understanding of the subject. This means ensuring they understand the process and the mechanism behind a math calculation for example. This will boost their confidence in being able to answer harder questions that require this skill. Particularly for maths, the harder questions are situated in Q15 and Q16. Attaining marks in this section will differentiate you from a lower band student to a band 5 and 6 student.
