What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy building a personal connection with my students through the material that is being taught. I find it incredibly rewarding to show students that learning can be an engaging experience and that there is value in all that they are being taught.
I most enjoy the opportunity to find creative ways to reach students and help them learn the relevant topics. Different methods work with different people and I enjoy the challenge of finding a way to effectively capture and hold a student's interest in studying.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think that I have a unique skill set and academic background that is valuable as a tutor. My subject strengths are English, Legal Studies, Economics, Business Studies and some History. I am comfortable teaching maths or science at a Primary school. (My 6 year 12 subjects were English, Physics, Chemistry, Maths 1, Classics and Music (Theory & Practice) with a TER of 92.5 in 2001).
I think my life and career experience is a strength as a tutor. To be able to demonstrate, not just success, but resilience and perseverance. I have been through years of study, assignments and exams.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think being open and approachable with students is the most important thing that I can do as a tutor. It is from this that students feel that they are able to ask questions, indicate that they haven't grasped a concept, share their learning wins, and generally engage more with the studying process.
