What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
It is rewarding to see students really being impacted. It can hardly be overstated; the satisfaction in realising that even if it's because students come from different backgrounds, strengths, and weaknesses that in my experience students have a real thirst for knowledge and learning in an engaging way.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am friendly and will always conduct myself in the best interest of helping to unlock the students potential. In the last couple of years especially, my Materials Science and Engineering studies have enforced my foundational knowledge of the relevant sciences and maths which helps me cover the content learned in high school. As well as this with elective subjects, public speaking involvement and building a solid passion for English as my favourite school subject, I have a significant liking for creative, persuasive and imaginative writing. This allowed me to reinforce my high school English literature skills as well as indirectly practise the writing.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
My greatest asset as a tutor would be my ability to really zone in on any problems a student may have in particular. This comes from being able to put yourself in their position before answering their questions and trying to be as tailored to every students learning ability. Also to be highly motivated to impact the greater good which will be prevalent in my work ethic with the student. For me this is partly due to my mum being a lecturer for people studying a diploma in school teaching, strengthening my resolve for wanting to teach, as it comes with the realisation that the future depends on the knowledge imparted to the next generation.
