What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I like knowing that I can help kids reach their full potential in their academic studies, which can help them a lot with their confidence. When children are not very confident, and then they feel themselves starting to improve, you can sense that they are becoming more confident. This is very rewarding. It is very important to provide a safe space for kids to learn in, and I enjoy providing that space for them.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My main strength is explaining concepts in a different way that children will understand. When they do not understand something the first time, it's important to persevere and not give up - if one way doesn't work, try again a different way. I also have strengths in teaching the children further study skills that they can use at home, to make sure that the benefits from tutoring don't just last one afternoon - but instead have more long-lasting effects.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The tutor plays an important role in teaching the student that they care about their academics and them as a person. Some kids feel hopeless in some subjects at school, due to bad grades or teachers that have other students to focus on, and believe that there is no way to improve because of that. Through the one-on-one experience with tutors, the children learn that they aren't hopeless and they can improve, which helps the kids perform to the best of their ability.
