What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I feel highly passionate about education and the potential it has to impact our future. A successful education enables us to gain the skills and confidence required of us not only in further education, if one chooses to pursue it, but also in general life. Being a tutor allows me to play a vital role in this process by providing a child with the opportunity to learn and gain a better understanding.
In particular, I love tutoring mathematics as I feel like itβs an area where I can make a real impact. By presenting information in a new way it is possible to improve understanding and confidence.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I have worked with a wide range of children from different backgrounds both as a tutor and as a swimming teacher. I therefore feel I have a large skill set which enables me to adapt my teaching style to suit different students. I also feel like I am very friendly and approachable which helps students feel comfortable in my company, enabling them to fully benefit from a session.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I think it is highly important for me to not only throughly understand the subject but to have a good grasp on the students understanding. By knowing the thought processes of the student it is then possible to adapt and present information in a suitable way to enhance understanding. By always trying to think from the perspective of the student it allows me to be a better and more successful tutor.
