What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The most rewarding part of tutoring is instilling an interest for the subject in the student, especially when the student had difficulty grasping concepts to begin with. This relates to the idea that if a tutor can recognise the student's pitfalls and strategise how to rectify these, they have the ability to engender a new-found interest in the subject in the student, which to me is a very special outcome.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe that my enthusiasm for learning combined with my belief that teaching has a heavy responsibility on a student's understanding drives a sense of commitment when I tutor, and I hope such passion for education may pervade any student I tutor. As with anyone, I have been taught by both excellent and less-than-adequate teachers, and the effect of those outstanding teachers has encouraged a sense of willingness in my tutoring approach, striving to ensure a student's complete understanding of any topic.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A tutor has the ability to engender self-confidence in a student by ensuring their comprehension of any topic. In the best cases, a student will then take initiative to learn of practise themselves, and at this point it is apparent that their tutor has such an effect on them as to inspire further learning and a deeper fascination with the subject.

The sliding line technique was sometimes difficult, as we only introduced this technique today.
Finding the equation of the least squares regression line went well, and very strong work in finding values using the equation of the line.

Occasionally experienced calculation errors from not using brackets etc. Also made a few mistakes in worded problems and applications, but otherwise these were strong!

Important to remember to write out all steps of working in long response questions. Some difficulty with distinguishing between correlation and causation.
Audrey was comfortable with solving equations for inequalities and sketching the regions of one variable.

Interpreting how an equation, particularly those with two variables, proved to be difficult at times. More revision needed on recognising the y-intercept and gradient and knowing when to rearrange into point-intercept form would be useful.
