What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy being able to connect with students, I find that having a strong relationship with whoever I am teaching is what makes tutoring so fun and working most enjoyable. Having this connection also makes overcoming learning curves even more rewarding for both myself and the student.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths are my experiences from school and the tutoring positions I have held. Having just graduated last year, I like to incorporate any study and learning tips as well as sharing my school experiences to my students. My tutoring style, particularly in year 9-12 maths involves teaching short cuts for working out and getting a quick and accurate answer. As well as this, I believe it is vital to make learning a fun and enjoyable experience for the student.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to be that extra support and encouragement a student may need when learning. It is important to continually show support and let a student know that is okay to not understand things straight away as long as they persevere. This can be achieved through praise, awareness, and feedback. It is also significant that a student is enjoying their time being tutored and that the experience is one that they can look forward to.
