What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
I thoroughly enjoy connecting with students in a way that facilitates the transfer of my knowledge and experience.
This may entail finding the most effective way of explaining or framing an idea for a particular individual. More often that not, this can be challenging for both the student and myself รขโฌรขโฌ getting through these moments is always fulfilling
It also brings me a sense of satisfaction seeing students figure things out on their own, and experiencing their reactions. This is particularly important for me, and might suggest that I am doing something right as a tutor.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
I excel at exercising patience, and also have excellent listening skills. Showing respect is important in developing good relationships with students, and helps facilitate good communication, which is important for the learning process.
Further, I try and see things from the students' perspective, and often think back to what it was like for me as a school student. This helps me figure out the best way of helping someone with their work.
I also possess the relevant knowledge and tools that students would find to be helpful with their studies.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
The performance of a tutor is quantifiable. Specifically, a student's understanding, passion, and results can be improved with the right tutor.
Furthermore, I believe intrinsic motivation is of paramount importance in relation to 'true' success. Instilling this in someone younger than you would be something truly special.
A tutor may also be a role model or supportive figure in a student's life. This may allow the student to learn how fostering good working, collaborative relationships with others increases quality of life and productivity.
