What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy imparting a sense of achievement and personal pride that someone gets when they see an improvement in their skills, or discover they can do something new. I most enjoy sharing my love of learning, particularly the gift of literacy.

I have very varied work and life experience. I easily relate to all kinds of people. I am caring and patient by nature. My personal strengths are level headedness, adaptibility and humour. I believe that everyone is capable of learning and improvement regardless of their current skills or different abilities. I am passionate about the importance of literacy, not only in education but as a lifelong tool to enhance every aspect of life.

I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is give them an appreciation for learning. I believe that if learning is a positive and enjoyable experience the student is much more likely to succeed. I believe the role of the tutor is to engage the student and inspire interest not just for the subject content itself, but for the pursuit of further knowledge.
