What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Coming from a family of academicians, I find teaching extremely fulfilling as a profession. There is no better feeling than knowing I can share my knowledge, inspire, support and help someone achieve their career goals.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
During my experience as a lecturer at RMIT University, I have consistently achieved high teaching satisfaction from students through course experience surveys. Being a recent graduate myself, being able to empathise with the stress students face, helps me communicate easily with them. Furthermore, all the years of teaching have helped me multitask teaching different subjects with students across varied backgrounds. I am well prepared before my classes, I keep tabs on the learning capacity of students, give them regular feedback and try to instil confidence in them.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe striking a balance in how the tutor interacts with a student is key. Being able to listen and identify a student's problem areas, as well as being firm enough to hold their attention is vital. A good tutor can set expectations tailored to a student's abilities and with them raise them while boosting their confidence. Overall personality development often aids in achieving good grades.
