What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love the interaction between student and a tutor. From some of my previous students I understand it is really a journey for both me as the tutor and them as the student. Gradually seeing students make improvements and implementing strategies I taught, truly makes me value my job as a tutor. It allows me to realise that I have been able to help them, and if at times I am not efficient I try get feedback constantly and improve. I truly enjoy all aspects of tutoring even besides that, from planning out methods to help my students grasp content or even creating a timetable for them.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe my enthusiastic and engaging attitude towards tutoring is my biggest strength. I have heard stories of other tutors from my students, who were less engaged and simply read the book. As a tutor I understand my responsibility to maximise my student's understanding and capability, therefore I always ensure to follow a tailored approach that suits the students. Furthermore, I constantly make sure they understand my explanations and if required, follow through with adequate clarification as necessary. I believe my committed mindset makes me a tutor that stands out from the rest.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Constantly checking up on them. Not in just terms of their learning (granted, it is very important) but also how they are feeling about the study and the method of teaching. I believe everyone can be taught any concept, but everyone has a different learning style and a tutor that can identify this for the student and teach them appropriately will make substantial improvements in the students. That is why I check up on my student to not only make sure they understand the concepts, but what styles of teaching they prefer, their general health and how they feel.
