What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy seeing the students' improvement and their success. I enjoy discovering common interests and using them as teaching tools (e.g. favourite film genres, hobbies, etc).
I believe in creating a positive, encouraging environment where students are not afraid of making mistakes and where both parties are open to discussion, questions and regular feedback. I enjoy getting to know the students and reaching this level of mutual understanding which facilitates a very successful learning process.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have an excellent understanding of students' needs and I tailor my lessons to meet those needs by teaching all four skills (writing, listening, speaking, reading) and grammar, each to the necessary extent.
As a non-native English speaker, I myself have experienced learning English as a foreign language, therefore I can easily relate to the students' learning process. As a result, I am able to understand their position and provide them with tips and advice both from a teacher's and a learner's point of view.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A tutor not only teaches a subject but also educates students. There is a practically infinite number of resources for teaching English in any topic, from music and films to books and articles. Choosing the right resources is extremely beneficial for students to widen their knowledge about the world. While focusing primarily on English, I find it important to educate students about relevant topics such as environmental consciousness. With the right approach, a tutor helps students gain confidence and therefore achieve personal growth.
