What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

As someone who understands the importance of a good teacher who inspires learning and development, I believe that having a tutor who is helpful, insightful and who students feel comfortable to talk to and to seek help from is of the utmost importance. In my opinion, being able to understand content is the difference between a positive school experience and a negative one, and is the difference between improvement and stagnation. As someone who values education, being able to pass on that appreciation and to help someone to develop and to be proud of their work is, for me, profoundly enjoyable and rewarding.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

A recent high school graduate and a current law student, I have a strong command of the English language and recognise what accessors look for. More importantly, however, I pride myself on being approachable and patient, qualities which are crucial for building rapport and successful communication.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

A good tutor is able to give constructive criticism, push a student to reach his/her best, and knows when to praise a student for their hard work. Understanding should always come before application, which is why building strategies and confidence must come first and foremost. A tutor should be able to give students the tools to complete their work, helping them to succeed in comprehension and learning. Most importantly however, I believe that a tutor should be able to inspire a passion for learning, and encourage students to recognise that they are responsible for their own success.
