What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Most importantly, is sharing the information which I took time to understand to another student who will be going through the same experiences which I went through.
Additionally, I also enjoy playing a part in another's development, that is to say, watching over another's progress and experiencing their growth
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strength as a tutor is being able to adapt my teaching strategy when I observe a student may not clearly understand what I am conveying to them. For instance, rewording the same example or using real world examples to draw a comparison.
Another trait of mine, not necessarily a strength is my amicable demeanour, it is usually easy for those that I informally assisted to raise questions and I will never become irate when the receiving party is unable to understand after my first explanation.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Most importantly, the tutor should be able to help the student achieve their desired academic results whilst under the tutor's tutelage, as this is the whole purpose of being a tutor. However, it is almost equally important to instill confidence in a student, that they will feel comfortable enough to step out of their comfort zones. More often than not, students will feel VCE Years 11 & 12 are a daunting experience, especially Year 12 as that point is the culmination of their schooling studies; as a result, students often feel immense pressure to perform well and may hinder their capabilities
