What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I realised that most of the concepts that I picked up in school were not very applicable to me and this made it very hard for me to relate to it and understand it. I excelled in school by relating these mathematical and scientific knowledge to the real world around me; in a way that makes sense to me and I enjoy sharing this knowledge with students and it is extremely heartwarming and rewarding to see them understand the concept and relate it to the things happening around them.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
PATIENCE - I believe patience is key to help students with their work and whenever they are in need of academic help especially whenever I have to explain the concepts over and over again.
EXPLAINING CONCEPTS - I believe there are multiple methods when it comes to explaining the concept as different students respond differently to the learning approaches.
INCORPORATING DIFFERENT METHODS- incorporating different techniques, mindmaps, videos and other sorts of learning devices will allow the student to have a greater depth with regards to mathematical and scientific concepts.
AVAILABILITY - students will be able to send me messages if they need immediate academic help
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I feel that it is important for the tutor to help the student along their educational journey to understand the concepts that they learn in school and also allow them to be able to make sense out of it and apply it to daily life. Most students are unable to relate their academic knowledge to real-life scenarios and this often results in disinterest. As a tutor, I would like to ease up the studying process so that they do not waste time dwelling in the wrong concepts and most importantly make sense out of it so that they can understand how to conquer the relevant questions.
