What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy the most about tutoring is when the student finally understands the content that he or she is studying at school and the expression of delight one can see on his/her face. Once the student understands the content, many times he takes interest in the subject and it gets easier and easier to help him grasp the idea and logics behind Mathematics.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My patience and willingness to assist in any way possible so that my student understands what he or she needs to understand and complete the tasks and exercises at school. My mother is a kindergarten and Grade 1 teacher and I believe I have inherited the gift of teaching. My positive attitude and the fact that I always accept challenges has also helped me throughout my journey as a tutor.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important things one can do for a student is to encourage, to have empathy and to believe. To encourage is essential as one must never give up, no matter how hard the task at hand seems to be. To be empathetic is also key in this situation as the student needs to understand you understand what he is going through. Not everybody is good at Mathematics as skills and interests differ from one individual to another, therefore understanding other people's difficulties and feelings is essential. Finally to show you believe in your student and his ability to overcome is vital.
