What do I enjoy most about tutoring? š
I would firstly like to say that I love math, so much so that at the end of the day I wind down with a good cup of tea, maybe a little television and one or two sodoku puzzles. I get a thrill out a neatly presented excel spreadsheet and math was my favourite subject when I was in high school.
Any excuse really to jump into a few mathematical problems or puzzles of any sort especially chemical gives me a lot of satisfaction in itself. I also love helping people to get from a space of confusion to understanding.
My Strengths as Tutor šŖ
I am uniquely qualified to tutor because not only do I pride myself on knowing my stuff. I am passionate about solving problems. I admit when Iām wrong and work to improve constantly. Because in a tutor and a teacher you are going to learn a lot more from someone who loves what they do. The enthusiasm is kind of like a terminal disease in ways but in a good way. Its infectious, kind of like laughter and yawns. This makes the learning experience a lot more fun and lot more engaging resulting in LEARNING! This combined with open and honest communication means we can achieve success together.
Most important things I can do for a student š
I tutor on the principle that any student requires three things above all else when learning;
1. Knowledge that is reliable and understandable.
2. Patience in self and most importantly from myself.
3. Support from all parties involved so they're able to progress when learning and feel comfortable in the teaching space.
This allows me to tailor the tutoring experience to each and every student that gets the best out of our time.
