What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
For me, the most enjoyable experience is that not only do the students get to learn something from me but I learn something from them too. It is a constant learning experience for me as well since I have to understand and be in touch with what I have to teach and what better fun in teaching something you yourself know?
Moreover, I am eager to make a difference and even if one student comes up to me to express their positivity towards the subject, it gives me a sense of fulfilment, a drive to carry on and impart knowledge.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As a tutor I try to maintain assertiveness where needed but I also establish a friendly relationship with the students to an extent to which the students can not only relate to me but also focus on their own studies.
Time management, leadership qualities as well as confidence are the three strengths I try working on and I believe that teaching helps me in streamlining these strengths in an easier way.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Establishing a rapport where the teacher can impart knowledge to the students in a way that the latter look up to the former.
Understanding where the students come from, empathising with them but being assertive just the same are key factors to assist students learn in an easier yet effective manner.
