What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy guiding students towards the answer and see them light up at the moment the learning 'clicks'. I find it rewarding to help students find an enjoyable way to learn and help build their confidence. I enjoy developing a bond with those I tutor and seeing different problems from their point of view. I am able to develop my own knowledge base through tutoring and find the experience extremely gratifying.

Tutoring has allowed me to develop my communication and organisational skills as I strive to provide individualised assistance for each of the children. I adapt my teaching style to suit the needs of each student to give them the best opportunity to learn. I am extremely patient and flexible and therefore am able to take many different approaches to questions to find the best possible approach for each specific student.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

A tutor must be patient, flexible, honest and attentive. It is important that tutors do not give students the answer directly but allows the student to discover the answer with extra guidance. The ultimate goal of tutoring is to help students become independent learners. A tutor must be willing to adapt to different situations and learning abilities, providing unique tutoring sessions for each student. Tutors must also strive to collaborate with the student in a partnership. A tutor's role is to work with the student, not to take the place of an instructor.
