What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
When I was learning maths in the latter stages of year 11 and throughout year 12, every time I learnt a new concept and understood how something worked, I had a moment of fascination with maths. I want to be able to pass this feeling onto others, and find joy when my teaching of maths ring a bell in my student's minds and see the awe in maths.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think it's the friendliness and the approachability, as I believe these two are the most important aspects of being a tutor. As a person who had tutors, I know what it feels like when a tutor is harsh and unfriendly, and thus is unapproachable even if you had questions which you wanted to be answered. Thus, I strive to be a friendly and approachable tutor to the students which I teach.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Simply being able to answer questions is not enough to be a tutor, but also making a student feel as if they can be at peace asking questions and being able to approach the tutor to ask them.
