What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
One way or another, I've always helped others with their own work and I think tutoring is a natural extension of this. I enjoy tutoring because it gives me a chance to help students to reach their own potential and gain confidence in their own learning! Tutoring is a great opportunity to not only cement my own skills and learn but help others in the process. I also look forward to all the new people I would meet through tutoring as well!
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think my 3 greatest strengths are my humbleness and patience, my dedication and my adaptability. I am able to approach situations with a more calm and pragmatic approach, considering how an action affects everyone involved. I am hardworking and committed with whatever task is put forth me and will always try to put my utter best to help every child achieve their true potential. I am also a good problem solver who is able to easily compromise and adapt to any situations; being School Captain at Ivanhoe Girls' in 2020 also allowed me to be able to embrace change and remain flexible.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to create an environment where the student feels comfortable and confident enough to ask questions regarding what they are learning. For me personally, I always resonate with teachers who are down to earth and who try their best to explain things in a way that makes sense; showing that extra effort to try and adapt their teaching methods to cater to a students learning needs is crucial in establishing trust between a student. Have a drive and passion to help your students succeed is also vital!
