What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The sense of accomplishment is the most essential part that I found during my experience. I have a great deal of satisfaction when I see a students really make the difference because of our interaction. I used to have a student named Sebastian who has no interest in Chinese at first, he said English is the best language in the world. Then I teach the tourist attractions in Beijing, including the Bird’ Nest. He has huge interests in this place and ask questions about this architecture intuitively. He gradually went from refusing finishing the worksheet in class to trying to do as much as he can
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I use my prior knowledge to guide the lessons and prepare, ensuing students build upon their knowledge and have their own ideas about critical thinking. I believe that relationships with students can lead the difference of students attitudes to learning. Thus I create the environment where they feel supported and prepared mentally to learn.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Students need to realize that learning is not only limited in the classroom. Lecturing and tutoring not only help the students to understand the knowledge and achieve the academic purpose, but also guide them to construct the way of thinking.

From my observations and Sarah's reactions, it seems that she can easily pick up on the new words and the ones we've discussed, like “up", "down", some fruits and food. And she can handle numbers within ten.
Although she can read numbers up to 10, counting is still very difficult for her. In addition, due to her personality, she is shy to express herself most of the time, which gives me a vague idea of her English level. Therefore, the first priority of tutoring Sarah should be to make her more confident in speaking English.
